Went to Asylah on the roadtrip back. There was a red bull wind riders competion being held at this wavespot. No wind in the morning but signed up to all the competition categories. Wind picked up to hooning by the afternoon so went out. First time out in waves which was good, but difficult as ! Water was pretty busy too which was a shock after being the only ones out at every spot we had been to. Lots of kiters had come down from Dubai. Managed to crash my ktie and get my lines in a hell of a mess 5 minutes before the race and big air competitions which meant i couldnt compete. I was a bit annoyed but not too fussed, still got a free rash vest !

Spent the rest of the afternoon watching the competitions. Susi Mai was there and she went so watched her kite for a bit which was great ! Had a beach bbq in the evening all put on by red bull which was awesome! Kiting was pretty crap, but still had a great day. Drove back through the desert overnight as we flew out the next morning. Oman is a great place to go, everyone is really friendly. It was a hell of an adventure and we are already planning our next trip out there !
